Clergy status
I am a licenced clergy member having gained licensure through the Maine Pagan Clergy Association. The MPCA licensure is very important, as it grants me the privilege of better serving the community in their spiritual needs and in supporting me in my leadership and ministerial roles.
As a member of the clergy, I have the power to legally marry couples in their handfastings. I am also able to more fully serve in my role as a funeral celebrant. Importantly, being clergy, I am able to attend to the sick and dying in hospitals where only immediate family and clergy may be allowed visits to patients. If you have a loved one requiring end of life spiritual assistance, I can provide pastoral care in health care facilities throughout the State of Maine and potentially beyond.. This also allows me into prisons where I can work with the often lost and forgotten segments of the population. Prison ministry is a beautiful way to bring spirituality and hope to one of the darkest and most difficult places the human soul must endure. I believe very much in restorative justice, and I encourage you to consider how you might reach out to help these people in great need. I am very thankful for the support I have received from the MPCA in my clergy licensure, and am blessed to live in a state that has such a thoughtful and active community.
